A New Mural Advocates for Future Park Space

Rockabilly lyrics draw attention to an under-utilized stretch of land north of Dupont

Prepare to have Johnny Cash stuck in your head. A new mural on the underpass walls at Geary and Dovercourt quotes the singer’s famous hit “I Walk the Line.” Street artist Peter Gibson, aka Roadsworth, painted the mural, which was planned by Park People in partnership with the Friends of the Green Line and Workshop Architecture. The group hopes the mural becomes a gateway to a five kilometre stretch of connected park space that they are calling for the city to build along a hydro corridor north of Dupont.
